MONZA - COLLECTIVE TEST, MICHAEL LEWIS (PREMA POWERTEAM) SETS THE FASTEST TIME
05/10/2011 - The collective test held today in Monza ahead of the eighth and last round of the Italian Formula 3 Championship ended with the fastest time set by Michael Lewis.

The Californian driver of Prema Powerteam set the pace stopping watches in 1´47.280, at an average speed of 194 395 km/h during the second and last session of the afternoon.

The leadership in the morning session was worth the absolute second time for the French Maxime Jousse (BVM-Target) who ended with a best time 5 tenths slower than Lewis' and with just 7 thousands spare to the Brazilian Victor Guerin (Lucidi Motors), who also set the second time of the morning session.
The championship leader Sergio Campana (BVM-Target) ended fourth at just seven hundreds of a second from the South American thanks to his best laptime obtained in the first session of the afternoon; Eddie Cheever (Lucidi Motors) in the same session set his best laptime that was worth the fifth absolute performance at about two tenths from the Modenese driver.

Edoardo Liberati (Team Ghinzani), Brandon Maisano (BVM-Target), Simone Iaquinta (JD Motorsport) and Kevin Giovesi (Lucidi Motors) completed the top 9 all wrapped in less than one second.
Behind Facu Regalia (Team Ghinzani) tenth, was Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam) only eleventh at +1.218.

Just 10 days are now remaining before the last weekend of the season scheduled from 14 to 16 October in Monza where the 46th Italian Formula 3 Champion will be crowned.
