| COLLECTIVE TEST IN ADRIA, FACU REGALIA (TEAM GHINZANI) SETS THE PACE |

21/07/2011 - The Argentine Facu Regalia set the fastest lap of the testing day in the 31st of the 35 laps run in the afternoon session at Adria's collective test held today.
After ending the morning session at just 67 thousands from the fastest lap of Brandon Maisano, Team Ghinzani's Argentine driver, thanks to a laptime of 1´11.647, at an average speed of 135,766 km/h, topped the final charts proceeding by more than two tenths Kevin Giovesi (Lucidi Motors), that was author of the fifth lap time in the morning session.
Maisano focused in the afternoon to testing several technical solutions that allowed him to get the fourth fastest time of the session but the time set in the morning was worth the third absolute performance, just 24 thousands shy of Giovesi.
Behind the French driving for BVM-Target, the third fastest time of the afternoon and fourth absolute was obtained by the Californian Michael Lewis just 35 thousands behind Maisano and ahead of Sergio Campana (BVM-Target) and Edoardo Liberati (Team Ghinzani) respectively by per 25 and 32 thousands; the latter two drivers were faster in the morning and devoted the afternoon session to finding setup solitions obtaining the absolute fifth and tenth times.
Within 8 hundreds of a second were Eddie Cheever (Lucidi Motors), Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam) and Maxime Jousse (BVM-Target) that respectively classified from the seventh to the ninth place while Victor Guerin (Lucidi Motors), Simone Iaquinta (Downforce Competition) and Andrea Roda (Prema Powerteam) completed the top 12 drivers all within just a second..
The spectacular performance balance is also proved by the fact that the first six drivers were all within three tenths.
The appointment is now for the 7 August in the fascinating Belgian circuit of Spa-Francorchamps for the only foreign round of the prestigious series powered by Fiat Powertrain Racing. |
