The provisional calendar of the Italian Formula ACI – CSAI Abarth 2013 Championship has been published; it will feature six rounds in as many Italian circuits. A lot of confirmations ahead of a season that announces to be very exciting.
The drive from Vicenza, first of the Italian drivers in the Italian Formula ACI – CSAI Abarth Championship and in the Formula Abarth European Series, won the ninth CSAI – FDA Federal Supercorso beating just quite the Uruguayan winner of the rookie title, Santiago Urrutia. Today the two drivers will be present at Riccardo Agostini and Eddie Cheever's Formula 1 test.
The ninth CSAI – FDA Supercorso will live tomorrow at the circuit of Vallelunga the last day with Luca Ghiotto and Santiago Urrutia protagonists at the wheel of the Formula 3 Dallaras. Very good performances also from the karting drivers Iacovacci, Zani and Corberi on the Formula Abarth's Tatuus.
Less than a week after the end of the championship all the details are being delineated on a series that, despite the decrease in number of entered drivers, proved to be highly competitive and produced spectacle until the very last corner.
The Brazilian driving for Euronova got the title after the very tight last race at Monza's circuit. In his scoreboard 6 wins, 15 podiums, 13 pole positions and 9 fastest lap of the race. The last race of the season has been won again by Antonio Giovinazzi who has been the real ruler of the weekend. The Italian proceeded Ghiotto at the flag by 45 thousands of a second.
The Italian driving for BVM, at his first race in Formula Abarth, started from the last position of the grid and clinched the first win of the weekend under heavy rain. Second position for Emanuele Zonzini (Euronova). Lower step of the podium for Luca Ghiotto instead with the latter recovering important points to Nicolas Costa, fifth at the flag.
